An eclectic one-of-a-kind business
Organizing and events seemed to be the perfect niche for me. Being a participant in
many events over the years I have learned what works and what doesn’t. I know
that there is never a guarantee of attendance at any event and every show is different from the
one previous and next one to come up. Each and every event is a learning experience. As a
coordinator of such events it is my responsibility to do everything within my power to do what is
necessary to make each event the best it can be. I try to hold events that are different . I like to think outside of the box and add a little character to my events. I work with crafters, wholesale vendors, direct sellers and small home businesses. I limit vendor space to one per business in the case of direct selling and limit “like” vendors as well. Competition between vendors is good, however too much of the same “like” item is not. I am a huge advocate of advertising and marketing each event, however I do place some responsibility on the vendors to do their part in marketing the events as well. The more people who take ownership in each event the more successful the event will be. It’s up to everyone to get the word out one way or another. My fees can range between $45 and $75 for vendor events with the exception of the Best of Business Expos that I hold. The fees for participation in those events generally will run between $130 and $150.
